The Central Location of the Delta

Located centrally within the myriad of cultures and societies which call the Delta home this island has been based back and forth amongst its inhabitants for the last few centuries. While some of them demanded tribute from their lower classes, others are more egalitarian. There are both Goblinoid and Migratory Cultures, Old Gods and Ancestor Worshipers, and even both Mercantilists and Agriculturalists.

The Factions

  • The Bay Baronies - This group of states are independent from the southern expansion from the Commonwealth and have each made the commitment to band together, regardless of their pervious attempts at taking over each other. How long this will stand no one knows, but the Commonwealth are making efforts to disband it

    • Tempestua - The most populated and strongest of the groups this regional power controls the central temple to The Tempest, Divine of the Old Gods and purveyor over the oceanic travels of man. It stands firm in its opposition to the Commonwealth, creating the alliance it heads and supplies powerful worshippers of their Divine to the front lines of fighting

    • Nliikfa - This central complex of high quality stone fortresses and ports is small enough that people can walk its circumference in a day. They have made their stand against the Commonwealth and it is the place where crusaders from other lands join the yearly fight against them but rarely do they personally leave their island enclave 

    • Faus - This Barony is one of the main proponents of the alliance as their capital of Fauki within the ore rich Buisera Hills is under constant pressure by the enthusiastic governors of the Commonwealth. They regularly invoke their professional troops to raid the adjacent Colonies in a hope that this will dissuade their next raid. This is prime territory for the regular skimishes and it would only take one large battle to swing the tide to one side or the other

    • Alkalaluta - This widespread but largely empty barony utilizes its farmland to supply its allies with food. The coastal provinces have a large amount of rain and with this peaceful approach it has gained many allies in the previous years. This group was one of the Baronies which rejected the alliance until it was made clear that there was absolutely no choice in the matter now that the Commonwealth have gotten closer. The people here just want peace, but that won’t be any time soon

    • Toloosi - Banded between two Commonwealth Colonies, this Barony is the most desperate for aid and where most of the allied forces land to establish their bases. They rely on the heavily forested regions around them while sending out forces to hide within them. Years of violence have created a myriad of problems but the populace is determined to stay strong

  • Colonies of the Commonwealth - From far to the North this Draconic government heralds an age of Colonialism, their strong emphasis on the ocean and heirarchy demanding as such. Now they send out their lessers to conquer more territory in the arrangement that their leaders may gain some standing in this stratified society

    • Chai’puli - The central territory of the Commonwealth and the only to hold a Regional Center, this powerhouse utilizes its large forests to build ships which can’t be matched anywhere else in the region. They have the ships built from this jungle wood which have deep bellies and strong bolts that pierce enemy armor. Now with their strict instructions to take control of the hostile Baronies they have unleashed these elite groups against them

    • Forch - While once this group was staunchly against the Commonwealth they were forced to join after the Baronies imposed strict religious reform against their will. Now as the central (and newest) Colony they have big shoes to fill and face great difficulty. It is up to their elite units of skirmishers and tight-knit communities to face the onslaught and pressure their situation has forced upon them

    • Amalupe - This rural colony has little power in either their own nation or out but they still do their best to assist their allies. The leaders of this Colony are rarely called to invoke the duties they have and now they sit in obscurity, sending their allies what they can and hoping the neighboring barony doesn’t immediately decide their lack of defenses is an invitation

  • The Hromarshii Tribes - The major tribes of the Hromarsh regularly move through the continent West of the central island, the wide foggy desert inhabited by goblinoids who make their living transporting goods from one side of the desert to the other. This hostile environment rarely allows for combat and instead the riches flowing out of there stimulates the more powerful states off the coast to engage in regular bouts of violence

  • The Savashan League - Within the cities of both nations and in there own fortresses of stone and coin this organization originating from south of the desert has begun to dominate the fortunes of the whole region. Lead by a woman intent on expanding their influence and growing her personal fleet there are few who are willing to resist her pursuits
